Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us:
Our Primary Mission is to raise money to help support individuals and families affected by cancer through endurance sports.
But this is a broad generalization, or "tag line" you might call it that doesn't actually say much. So how are we actually going to accomplish this?
We plan to go about this in a number of ways: by fundraising drives working with local race directors at endurance events, by fundraising efforts through our members efforts on a mileage based pledge system. And also by raising awareness through promotion by entering and doing events as Endurance for Life members that they would be doing already as members of the endurance sports community.
Last year our members did:
4,531 miles, 375hrs, 7 events participated, 10 events volunteered.
We are also partnering with several for profit businesses like bambu werx who will be donating a portion of their proceeds to this cause as part of special events.
Visit our affiliate store in the menu, 20% of all proceeds go directly to families in need courtesy of bambu werx
We then will be partnering with local support groups and organizations to target families in need and help them in whatever way possible. I don’t know if any of you have experience in this but having gone through this with multiple family members, I can tell you there is a staggering gap between what insurance and supplemental systems pay and what the real world costs of treatment and just maintaining a decent quality of life actually are. We are seeking to help close that gap for families and individuals who cannot afford to do it themselves.
As our outreach grows we will be posting our donations and numbers to remain transparent and open about the process. You can view those on our Donations page.
